In summary would you say that Concrete5 is a worthy contender for building decent CMS sites?

THANK YOU for this useful review !!
There are quite a lot of users trying to find a CMS where one can concentrate on adding content rather than spending weeks on tuning the soft and coding addons.
Although Wordpress is more blog orientated, these 3 CMS target on easy learning curve and interface and that's really great !
Btw, Concrete5 and Silverstripe seem quite similar (at least when you see their dashboard), could be interesting to have a more detailed comparison about these 2...

Thanks for doing the review. Note that SilverStripe provides CAPTCHA-like protection out of the box through integration with Akismet (akismet.com) and a "maths question" like those shown our website, e.g.
http://www.silverstripe.com/you-got-us-into-the-cms-award-finals-now-vote/

There is then a CAPTCHA module you can add to your projects, see http://doc.silverstripe.com/doku.php?id=modules:recaptcha
