Flexigrid : inside the next data browser

Advanced DHTML / javascript grid layouts have been around for a while : OpenRico's livegrid  has been available for years, and last february a new version of EXTJS' grid came out (UPDATE : EXTJS is about to relaease a new version of its editable GRID) . Well it's good news that Jquery javascript library should now be able to provide its own implentation of a data grid, with many features that any good data master should expect...

a good lot features but inplace editing, provided by competitor from DOJO, is not available yet. No doubt that jquery's jeditable plugin  should come to the rescue soon.. Apart from this great missing friend, enjoy the following :

  • Resizable columns
  • Resizable height and width
  • Sortable column headers
  • Cool theme
  • Can convert an ordinary table
  • Ability to connect to an ajax data source (XML and JSON[new])
  • Paging
  • Show/hide columns
  • Toolbar
  • Search
  • Accessible API
